Let Love Rule Santiago
Lenny Kravitz is one of my favorite artists of all time and when I found out that he was coming to Chile after 14 years I was very happy and sad at the same time because I didn't have a penny to buy the ticket. He was coming to Lollapalooza, so it was quite expensive, but I knew someone who was selling a ticket for less money. The thing is that the week before the festival I was at my house when someone called me on the phone telling me that I had won a raffle and the prize was a camera lens. I don't even have a camera so the same day I sold the lens to a friend and called the person who was selling the ticket to buy it.
The concert was amazing, the band was so awesome, the great Craig Ross on guitar, Franklin Vanderbilt on drums and the legendary Gail Ann Dorsey on bass, former David Bowie's bassist, among others amazing musicians who participated, also I managed to get next to the stage, very close to Craig and Lenny, and in a moment he came off the stage and was right where I was.
However, bad things also happened, the show had many technical problems and was even stopped for almost half an hour. At one point I thought they wouldn't go back on stage, but they came back and finished the show brilliantly. Also, when I left the concert my cell phone was stolen. But still I left happy, having heard Lenny's voice live and Craig's touching “Believe” guitar solo was enough.
And that’s how I went to Lollapalooza and finally see Lenny Kravitz. I was so lucky!
What a great story!
